The Luce Divina Portraits of Hineni

The Luce  Divina Portraits of Hineni.

NEW WORK SOON TO BE DISPLAYED (WAIT FOR IT)

These new portraits not yet shown will represent the life of the great icons of history and  those who have passed  before us that have left an indelible mark upon humanity. I choose a word and a phrase, Hineni which is a powerful Hebrew phrase meaning "Here I am," commonly used in the Bible to signify not just physical presence, but full attention, readiness, and total            availability to serve. It indicates a posture of surrender, commitment, and obedience, often used by figures like Abraham, Moses, and Samuel in response to God.

The portraits have been Gilded in metal to show an inner light as the Italian Masters would say, the Luce Divina. The light of the soul. Then numerous patinas applied to show weathering or aging is symbolic of living a life of iconography.
